Perth has some beautiful locations to enjoy the great outdoors and we want to share our knowledge with you by providing some tips & tricks to make your picnic event an amazing experience.

Can I picnic anywhere ?
In Western Australia Local Government Authorities manage public spaces. Some spaces are able to be used without booking the space depending on the numbers of guests at your picnic and also whether an event approval licence or a booking fee is deemed applicable. Picnico is a licensed, fully insured, accredited operator who are known and preferred by some key Local Authorities to operate in some of Perth's most popular parks and public spaces. Picnico can advise and assist you with finding the best places and spaces to picnic but also advise that if you are in any doubt please contact the appropriate Local Government.
Picnico can create events anywhere subject to location owners agreement and appropriate permissions and can make your own home, garden, local community hall, commercial venue or even a hotel room into something truly unique and special for your celebration.
Have a Plan and a 'Plan B'
Picnics in Perths parks, spaces and beaches are a great way to celebrate or bring family and friends together. Picnico will never let you down or not deliver as promised however, the weather or other conditions can. Picnico advise all our customers to choose a picnic location by working with us and where we know there is some shelter, shade or a greater possibility of parking and picnic access.
We advise customers to plan and have a 'Plan B' and by working together we can always ensure the event goes ahead. Picnico may be able to change locations if another location is available and enough notice is given. We also understand that you or your guests may also have their own favourite locations and we simply advise check the weather forecast and visit the site on the same day of the week and time you are planning your event; take a look at the shade, parking and how guests will get to the picnic.
What do I need to think about ?

Catering - Food is not provided in your package cost. Picnico hires picnic equipment and provides a full set up, pack away inclusive service. We also work closely with reputable catering providers and can collect your platters, food and drinks and have it all ready at your picnic (a service change may apply)

Table Space - Picnico provides the right number of tables to match the number of guests. Squeezing too many people on a table as well as food just spoils the occasion and those magic Instgram moments. We recommend additional buffets or side tables (see picnic special items)

Waste & Rubbish - Picnico takes care of the parks we operate in and wish to look after wildlife and the environment. Picnico ecourages guests to work with us and ensure bins are used that no items are left that can harm wildlife.


We make picnics simple. First you choose the right package for you (our most popular picnics are our custom picnic packages). Then you let us know your preferred date, time and location for your picnic. On the date of your picnic, we setup everything for you ready for your arrival. You simply arrive at your chosen location and enjoy the picnic for the arranged amount of time. We will return to pack everything away for you and you can enjoy the rest of your day. It is as easy as that!
You choose the location and as long as it is possible, we will setup a beautiful picnic there! We love setting up in new places that we haven't been before. We will even come to your house because we think backyards picnics are awesome. We have many suggestions of great places to picnic if you need, just ask!
Please note we are located in Joondalup, WA; therefore any picnics further than 40km from our location will incur a small travelling expense fee depending on required picnic setting.
Of course! We have sooooooo many styles and colour options for you to choose from. Now seriously, we are confident that we have the perfect colours to suit your style. Please take a look at our custom picnic packages. We are also happy for you to make suggestions and we will do our best to deliver your dream.
Our picnic packages are for a 3-hour booking time slot, however if you would like the picnic for a longer amount of time please let us know.
Please note the time provided on your invoice is our handover time. This is when your picnic will be finished and ready for you to enjoy. If you wish for the picnic to be finished before your guests arrival for you to be able to add final touches/ add food or drinks, please let us know so we can adjust your booking time.
We can assist you in organising catering and platters, and also give you suggestions according to your preferences and budget. It is also an option for us to arrange this for you so that everything is ready for you on the day/night when you arrive for an additional fee. Of course, you are also welcome to bring your own food and drinks. All our picnic hire packages include plates, cutlery and glassware.
This is always a risk when organising an outdoor picnic. Our preference is to move the event inside to your or one of your guest’s homes. We promise it will still be amazing! We are happy to reschedule to another date for you with no additional costs (subject to availability) as long as we are notified 48 hours prior to the picnic booking.
Picnico will cancel or suggest rescheduling of any outdoor bookings deemed not plausible due to bad weather. All bookings that are cancelled by Picnico will result in the Client receiving a full refund of the amount paid. For more information please read our Terms and Conditions.
You are responsible for the picnic hire items until we return to pack them up at the arranged time. If you would like to leave earlier than the arranged time, please provide 30 minutes notice and you can contact us via our phone by calling or texting 0431 952 234. We will try our best to return to you as soon as possible, please note with many bookings on the same day this is not always possible.
We ask that you respect our booking times and arrive at the agreed time. We can handover the picnic to a nominated friend or guest if you are running late. We more than likely have other bookings we need to leave for, and if you're late it affects our whole schedule. If you are going to be a few minutes late we ask that you notify us via a phone call.
To encourage you not to be late, customers that are more than 30 minutes late without prior notification will automatically lose their picnic and without any refund.
